United bank for Africa free tour in AAU
The United Bank for Africa (UBA) free campus ride which started on Monday 6th November, in Ambrose Alli University has been described by the students as a Blessing from Above.
The initiative which gives access to students to enjoy free ride in campus has been up and running between the hours of 8AM In the morning to 5PM in the evening since it started in order to ensure that students enjoy this initiative within the 6 Weeks period it is expected to run.
AAUclassic while Speaking with one of the champs who identified himself as CHAMP DAYO at the BUS stand said "The UBA campus ride isn't just an initiative that gives students access to enjoy free ride on campus, it gives them the opportunity to win 5000 Naira Weekly if they tweet with the #ubacampusrideAAU, It eases their queuing stress, it is also an empowerment program for students. I rounded up my exams already and instead of going home to sit idle, I am working here to save up. We are glad to have this in Ambrose Alli University and we will do everything possible to promote UBA Bank".
One of the riders, a 200L Medical Student who spoke with AAUclassic said "I can only but wish that this programme goes on till I graduate, I personally refused to ride for free on Monday because of the popular saying that Awoof dey run belle, but my friends enjoyed the UBA free Campus ride initiative on Monday, and smiled all day because it saved their cash and stress. I would only have been a fool if I didn't allow myself to enjoy this good thing that the Lord has given to us through UBA. I must commend this initiative and thank all those that are behind it". She concluded by saying UBA free campus ride got us covered.
While students of the University have been very appreciative of this programme, they have also appealed that the UBA opens a branch in the school premise for ease of transaction for the students.
CHAMP ALIU who spoke with AAUclassic while giving a brief exposition to the programme said, "The UBA free campus ride is expected to run for a period of 6 Weeks. During the period of this programme, students of Ambrose Alli University will not pay a dime to enjoy shuttle services. They will only be required to register and get a RIDERS ID which they will tender to the persons at the terminal to enjoy the free ride. I am commending the efforts of UBA bank for this initiative, ". He concluded by enjoining students to contest for a grand price weekly by tweeting with the hash tag #UBACAMPUSRIDEAAU as top 3 contestants with highest tweets wins 5000 Naira Weekly.
