Child narrowly escapes being killed by python (watch now)
The shocking moment a mother found a 10ft long python hiding under her son’s bed was filmed and has now been shared online.
The python killed the family cat then hid under the boy's bed. Luckily the boy didn't sleep in his room that night so he was saved.
Thanapoom Lekyen, 42, said the serpent entered their home through a window last Thursday night in Chaochoengsao, Thailand.
She found the dead kitten outside below the window ledge then ran from the room in fear when she saw shiny scales under the mattress. Upon investigation, it was a python.
Miraculously, her son Nong, 13, who normally sleeps in the room had fallen asleep in her bedroom the evening before narrowly avoiding being eaten by the snake. In the footage rescuers are seen as they carefully capture the angry snake which puts up a fight - biting the animal handler.
